Show Me Chord ("SMC", "we", "our", "us") is an app for users of all ages. We design it to be safe for children, including those under 13, and apply additional protections to comply with children's privacy laws (e.g., COPPA in the United States). This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can control personalization and data requests.
Personalization (including personalized ads and analytics) is turned off by default. On first run we ask for your choice in a simple age/consent dialog. You can change choices anytime inside the app under Profile → Privacy Settings.
Depending on your settings, we may collect the following:
We minimize data and avoid profiling by default. For child or unknown users we keep identifiers and personalization off.
We use advertising networks to show ads. By default we request non-personalized, child-directed ads with family-appropriate content. If you explicitly enable personalized ads (available only after confirming 13+), ad networks may use identifiers and activity for personalization as described in their policies.
You can request a copy of your data or deletion via the contact link at the bottom of this page. To reduce automated harvesting we hide the direct email address — click the contact link to open your mail client.
To delete your account, follow the steps on our Delete Account page.
SMC is for all ages, including children under 13. We keep personalized ads and analytics off for children and unknown-age users. Where parental consent is required for collection or personalized use of personal information, we will obtain verifiable parental consent before enabling those features. If you are a parent or guardian and wish to give or withdraw consent for your child, use the contact link at the bottom of this page.
